Resellers
Let somebody sell your hosting on, within a limit you set.
A reseller is a panel user who can hand out plans to their own customers, up to a quota you decide.
Go to Admin > Management > Resellers.
You need the View Users permission to open the page. You need Update Users to make a change.
What a Reseller record holds
A reseller record attaches four things to an account that already exists:
| Item | Description |
|---|---|
| Server quota | The largest number of servers. |
| Memory quota | The largest total memory across those servers, in MB. |
| Plan list | The billing plans that the reseller can hand out. An empty list means all plans. |
| Status | Active or Disabled. |
TIP
A reseller record does not create a user. Delete a reseller record and the user account stays. One account can hold one reseller record.
The panel has no separate reseller portal. A reseller uses the normal client area. The page sets no price, no markup, no credit balance, and no reseller branding.
Summary tiles
When at least one reseller exists, four tiles appear at the top of the page:
| Tile | Description |
|---|---|
| Resellers | The number of reseller records. |
| Active | The number of enabled records. |
| Servers reselled | The total server count across every reseller. |
| Memory in use | The total memory across every reseller. |
The table
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| User | The avatar, the username, and the email address. |
| Status | A pill that reads Active or Disabled. Click the pill to change the state. |
| Servers | A bar that shows the servers in use against the quota. Without a quota the cell reads "unlimited". |
| Memory | A bar that shows the memory in use against the quota. Without a quota the cell reads "unlimited". |
| Plans | The number of permitted plans, or "all plans". |
The bar changes colour with the load. Green is below 80 percent. Amber is 80 percent or more. Red is at the quota or over it.
The page has no search box, no filters, and no sorting. The newest record comes first.
When no records exist, the page shows "No resellers yet."
Adding a Reseller
The user must already have a panel account. Create the account first at Admin > Management > Users.
- Click New reseller. A panel opens under the table.
- Enter the User Email. The address must match an account. If it does not, the panel reports "No user with that email".
- Enter the Server quota. Leave the field empty for no cap.
- Enter the Memory quota (MB). Leave the field empty for no cap.
- Enter the Plan IDs, separated by commas, for example
1, 5, 12. Leave the field empty to permit every plan. - Click Save.
A new reseller is enabled at once.
Turning a Reseller off
Click the Active pill on the row. The pill changes to Disabled and the panel saves the change at once. There is no confirmation dialog.
Use this control to pause a reseller and keep the quotas.
Changing a quota
The page has no edit action. To change a quota or a plan list, delete the record and create it again.
Deleting a Reseller
Click the bin icon on the row, then confirm. The panel removes the reseller record. The user account and the servers of that user stay.
Audit
The panel records each create, each status change, and each delete in the Activity Log. Read Activity Log.
Next steps
