Server users
Share one server with other people, and choose what each of them can do.
The people you add are called subusers. A subuser sees your server in their own account, beside any server they own.
Feature
The Users tab appears only when the subuser feature is on. If an administrator turns it off, the tab shows a message, existing users keep their access, and new invitations are blocked.
The user list
Each person is one card. The card shows their name, their email address, and the first five permissions that they hold. A +N more chip covers the rest.
Two buttons sit on the right of each card:
- The pencil button opens Edit Permissions.
- The bin button removes the person from the server.
Removal asks for confirmation. The person loses access at once, including the console, the files, and the backups. You can invite them again later.
Inviting a person
- Click Invite User.
- Type their email address in the Email address field.
- Set the permissions that you want to give them. See the table below.
- Click Send Invite.
What happens next depends on the email address:
- If the person already has a panel account, they get access at once. The panel does not email them, so tell them yourself.
- If the email address is new to the panel, the panel creates an account and emails them a link to set a password. The link is valid for 24 hours.
You cannot invite yourself, and you cannot add the owner of the server. A person can hold only one set of permissions per server.
Setting permissions
The permissions are grouped. Each group has an All link and a None link on the right, so you do not have to click every box.
The invitation form starts with a common set already ticked. That set covers console access, start, stop and restart, full file access, and read access to the other tabs. Change it to suit the person.

What stays with the owner
Some actions belong to the owner of the server and to administrators. You cannot pass them to a subuser:
- Reinstall the server.
- Delete the server.
- Add or remove allocations.
- Change the resource limits.
Changing or removing access
Click the pencil button on a card to open Edit Permissions. Change the boxes, then click Save Changes. The change takes effect at once.
Click the bin button to remove a person. Read the confirmation, then click Remove user.
Remove a person as soon as they no longer need the server. A subuser with file access can read anything in your server folder.
What other people can see
The owner of the server sees the email address of every person on the list.
A subuser with View Users sees the list, but not the email addresses or the real names of the other people. They see a display name instead.

Give the smallest set that lets the person do their job. You can add more later.
