License
See what your license covers and how much of it you are using.
Go to Admin > Settings > General and open the License tab.
License key
The License Key card appears on a self-hosted panel.
- Paste your license key in the field. A key has the form
BP-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. - Click Save & Verify.
The panel contacts the license server immediately and shows the new status.
On a hosted tenant, the card is replaced with a Managed license notice. The BadgerPanel store owns the license of a hosted tenant. A change reaches the panel within a few minutes.
Sync now
Click Sync Now at the top right of the page to fetch the current license state. Use this button after you buy an add-on, or after you renew. The page shows the result as a message.
License status
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Status | The state of the license. |
| Tier | The license tier, for example Starter, Professional, Business, Enterprise, or Unlimited. |
| Bound Domain | The domain that the license permits. If the license binds no domain, the field shows Not bound. |
The Status field shows one of these values:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Active | The license is valid. |
| Development Mode | The panel runs with a development license. |
| Grace Period | The license needs attention, but the panel still works. |
| Expired | The license term ended. |
| Suspended | The license server suspended the license. |
| Invalid | The panel does not accept the license key. |
A bound domain also locks the Panel URL field on the General settings page.

How a license feature gates a page
A feature that your license does not include is not available in the panel. The navigation entry does not appear. The page does not open. The related API requests return an error.
A license feature is not the same thing as a feature toggle. Some features have both:
- The license decides whether you can have the feature at all.
- The toggle on Settings > Features decides whether you use it.
If your license does not include a feature, the toggle for that feature does not turn on.
Resource limits
The Resource Limits card shows the maximum count for each resource. A value of Unlimited shows in green. A limit that your license does not set shows N/A.
| Limit | Applies to |
|---|---|
| Servers | Total game servers on the panel. |
| Daemons (Linux) | Linux nodes. |
| Daemons (Windows) | Windows nodes. |
| Users | User accounts. |
| Eggs | Egg definitions. |
| Roles | Roles. |
| Database Hosts | Database hosts. |
| Kubernetes Clusters | Kubernetes clusters. |
| Orchestrators | Orchestrators. |
| Webhooks | Webhooks. |
| Backups per Server | Backups on one server. |
| Databases per Server | Databases on one server. |
| Schedules per Server | Schedules on one server. |
| Allocations per Server | Port allocations on one server. |
| Subusers per Server | Subusers on one server. |
| API Keys per User | API keys for one user. |
When you reach a limit, the panel refuses to create more of that resource. Buy a larger tier, then click Sync Now.
